The History :

With 7,087 inhabitants, La Rousse is mainly a residential and office district, and has the second highest population density in the Principality after Monte-Carlo.

In recent years, a number of remarkable property developments have sprung up in the area. Located close to the commune of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and the French border, La Rousse is also close to the renowned Monte-Carlo Country Club, which hosts the annual Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters tennis tournament.

Today, the district has become the emblem of modern architecture in Monaco: the construction of the iconic Odéon Tower has led to innovation with new buildings such as the recent Testimonio II and the Mona building.
